We will quote based on the following assumptions:

• You are a UK resident  Your permanent residence is in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
• You are the owner of the craft and there is no dispute over the ownership of the craft
• You have not had insurance declined, cancelled or declared void by an insurer or been refused renewal of an insurance policy in the last 5 years
• You do not have any unspent criminal convictions, unspent cautions, or criminal prosecutions pending A conviction is unspent if its rehabilitation period has not yet ended. Please do not disclose convictions classified as 'spent' under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act or equivalent acts in Scotland and Northern Ireland or any motoring offences. • You have not suffered any insurance loss, destruction, damage or incident, whether or not resulting in a claim, in relation to any craft owned or used by you in the last five years
• You have a minimum of one year's experience with similar craft
• The total sum insured does not exceed the price paid for the craft by more than 10%
• The craft is for private pleasure use only  Does not include hire, charter, reward or any other commercial activity but does include racing for sailing craft.
• The craft is of professional construction  The craft has been built by professionals. Excludes home or kit built craft.
• The craft is not converted or modified  Examples of modifications include a different engine than supplied, extending the superstructure, a different rig or sails or in the case of sailing dinghies, changes which take the dinghy out of class.
• The craft is based in the UK  Craft is not kept outside of England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, The Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
• The craft is kept ashore when not in use Craft is not left on a mooring when unattended.
